Olam is led by Matthew Gindin. Currently meeting online, we sit together twice a month.

Our Meetings

Our meetings last for around an hour. Matthew typically shares a brief thought on meditation then guides us into a breath and body based meditation followed by open exploration of our conscious experience. Our approach is playful and non-dogmatic. Matthew draws on Buddhist, Vedantic, and neo-Hasidic meditation traditions.

Olam

Founded in 2018 by Matthew Gindin, Deborah Ross-Grayman, and Henry Grayman, Olam is a meditation circle for contemplative exploration.

The name comes from a Hebrew word meaning “world, expanse, eternity.” Jewish mystics connect it to a root which means “concealed, hidden”, thus pointing out that concealed within the world of our experience are endless expanses.
